At European Hydrogen Week 2026 in Brussels, UFI Hydrogen brings together technological expertise, industrial capabilities and European collaboration, highlighting its contribution to the hydrogen sector and R2RMEA, its IPCEI project funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.
From 28 to 30 October, UFI Hydrogen is showcasing its latest technologies in the field of Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEA): NEXT GEN MEA for water electrolysis and MEA for Fuel Cells, reflecting the company’s ongoing research and development activities and its focus on industrial-scale solutions.
A key focus of its participation is R2RMEA – Roll-to-Roll Production of Membrane Electrode Assemblies, UFI Hydrogen’s project within the IPCEI framework, funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. The project marks an important step towards advanced manufacturing processes for Membrane Electrode Assemblies. During the week, R2RMEA was featured in two dedicated sessions: an initial presentation at the Fincantieri stand, followed by a presentation at the EU Projects Pavilion, providing two occasions to share the project’s objectives and key aspects within the European hydrogen landscape.
The event also offered an opportunity to take a closer look at the latest developments in MEA technology. During the “Meet the Expert” session, the NEXT GEN MEA for water electrolysis was presented, providing further insights into this new generation of technology.
Beyond showcasing its technologies and projects, the event provides a valuable platform for UFI Hydrogen to connect with key players across the European hydrogen ecosystem, exchange expertise and strengthen collaboration within the sector.
Through MEA technologies for water electrolysis and Fuel Cells and strategic initiatives such as R2RMEA, UFI Hydrogen continues to advance its technological and manufacturing capabilities, supporting the evolution of the European hydrogen value chain.
